Psychogeograohy and Urban Space.

Close to me there is a shopping complex that is half indoors and half outdoors. The roof on the indoor section is retractable so when its sunny outside, the glass roof seperates and the mall becomes an outdoor shopping plaza. There is a section of the mall that is always outdoors, faeturing two large fountains in a round gathering zone. On the outside perimeters high end store fronts are available. Tiffany's, Louis Vuitton, Nordstrom, Lululemon, etc. have set up residency in this area. If you go into the indoor mall section there is a glass sky bridge that takes you over a main city road and over to another section of shopping. There you'll find more reasonably priced stores; Gap, Sephora, Forever 21, etc. I live in a part of the USA where we experience all 4 seasons. Cold and snowy winters, wet springs, hot and dry summers, crisp and cool autumns. I find it interesting that the high end locations are all located in the section that doesn't have any climate contolled enviornment. Another thing to note is that the high end section has more underground parking and escalators. Whereas the "regular" shopping is closer to public transit and father from the designated parking areas
